Avalon - Is an organization for abused women and children in Williamsburg. Through their efforts women and children who would otherwise be in an abusive relationship or without a home, now receive love, hope, and shelter. For more information contact Pastor Harmon or check out Avalon’s website.
Winter Shelter Support COFM - We partner with over 30 churches in the greater Williamsburg community to participate in providing a winter shelter for the homeless in our community. A list of the dates and locations where we are serving this winter will be available soon. This ministry is supported by our Mission Dedicated Fund. Mission Dedicated Fund - A fund that we maintain to allow us give to those who are impacted by catastrophes, whether it be tornados in the Midwest, typhoons in the Philippines, or hurricanes hitting the east coast. Housing Partnerships - is a local organization supporting the community to make Safe, Warm and Dry housing for many of our neighbors. They provide vital housing repair services to the very low-income individuals and families who cannot help themselves. The MDF is used to assist HP in the purchase of needed materials. Homeless Discretionary Fund is funded by the Mission Dedicated Fund and is used to provide shelter and medical related items to the homeless staying at the two motels where we serve meals. Working with the managers of the two motels KOG will pay temporary rent and purchase medical supplies for those who are in a desperate situation. Contact Pastor Harmon or Bo Wingate.
St. Bede Outreach Center We work in partnership with the St. Bede Outreach Center to help those in need in our community. The center helps those who cannot pay for utilities, shelter, food, medicine or clothing. For more information visit their website or contact Bo Wingate.
